Medical Imaging Services

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Western Hospital carries out a full range of specialist diagnoses. The four sections which belong to this department provide the following services:

I. Magnetic Resonance Section

1. Studies of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis with or without contrast administration.
2. Examination of joints and long bones with or without contrast administration.
3. Dynamic and vascular studies of the head, neck, internal organs with and without contrast

II. Computer Tomography Section

1. Studies of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis with or without contrast administration.
2. Examination of joints and long bones with or without contrast administration.
3. The dynamic, multiphase and vascular studies of the head, neck and internal organs with or without contrast.

III. X-ray Section

1. Examination of chest, joints and long bones, skull, functional testing
2. Studies of gastrointestinal tract with contrast medium administrated orally, the studies of the urinary tract with intravenous administration of contrast, cystographies , and pyelography and fistulography.

IV. Mammography Section

1. Both routine as well as additional mammography projections.
