The Department of Diagnostic Imaging in the Western Hospital carries out a full range of specialist diagnostics. The four sections which belong to this department provide the following services:
I. Magnetic Resonance Section
1. Studies of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis with or without contrast administration.
2. Examination of joints and long bones with or without contrast administration.
3. Dynamic and vascular studies of the head, neck, and internal organs with and without contrast.
II. Computer Tomography Section
1. Studies of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis with or without contrast administration.
2. Examination of joints and long bones with or without contrast administration.
3. Dynamic, multiphase and vascular studies of the head, neck and internal organs with or without contrast.
III. X-ray Section
1. Examination of the chest, joints and long bones, skull, and functional testing.
2. Studies of the gastrointestinal tract with contrast medium administrated orally, studies of the urinary tract with intravenous administration of contrast, cystographies, pyelography and fistulography.
IV. Mammography Section
1. Both routine as well as additional mammography projections.
