The Intensive Care Unit provides treatment to patients whose lives are in danger from multi-organ injuries, diseases that cause acute respiratory failure, acute heart failure, cardiac arrest, and to those patients who are in critical condition after major surgery, or who are unconscious (poisoning, strokes, etc.).
Another task for our unit is to perform anesthesia for all types of surgery (surgical, orthopedic, urologic and endoscopic). In the post-operative period, we provide medical and nursing care and pain relief in a 6 bedroom operating block equipped with state of the art equipment.
Because of its interdisciplinary character the Intensive Care Unit cooperates with all the departments and units within the hospital.
